AGU Journal Highlights, "Changes in ocean circulation: A thermodynamics approach"

"Thermodynamics of irreversible transitions in the oceanic general circulation" - authors: Dr. Shinya SHIMOKAWA (NIED) and H.Ozawa (Hiroshima Univ.)- was selected as an "AGU Journal Highlights".

Dr. Shinya SHIMOKAWA, Senior researcher, Storm, Flood, and Landslide Research Department, NIED and Associated Professor, H. OZAWA, Hiroshima University published a paper "Thermodynamics of irreversible transitions in the oceanic general circulation", Geophysical Research Letters, Vol. 34,(doi:10.1029/2007GL030208). This paper is the accomplishment of research activities about the mechanisms of oceanic circulation which are expected to occur in response to global warming. On the AGU webpage, 29 June 2007, they introduced this paper as "Changes in ocean circulation: A thermodynamics approach".
