Innovation Center for Meteorological Disaster Mitigation

We bring together human resources/information/technology from industry, academia and government, aiming to form a “Core Hub for Research and Personnel Resources”.

Bringing together personnel, information and technology from industry, academia and government, this center promotes R&D oriented toward social implementation of research results through the systemization of prediction technologies for meterological disasters and performance evaluation/standardization of measurement technologies related to disaster risk reduction.

Innovation

Our aim is to construct a “Core Hub for Research and Personel Resources” that aligns 3 technologies of observation, modelling and user systematization.

Many system requirements are needed for modeling technology in order to satisfy user needs, and modeling technology requires system requirements needed for observation. In response to this, observed data will be used into modeling technology, and information products generated from modeling will be diverted into user system technology.

On the basis of such a two-way flow, we aspire to co-create a learning hub with stakeholders which brings together people, technology and information.
