Prototype system, four blue pipe-shaped cylinders are horizontal actuators. The square table is the preliminary test shaking table, which has the dimension of 6m x 6m.
The verification tests of this large shaking mechanism were carried out
from 1997 to 1998 with the prototype system. These tests have shown that
the required performance levels such as the maximum displacement, and velocity
can be realized.
