業務内容

情報科学を活用した地震調査研究プロジェクト（STAR-E プロジェクト）の研究課題「地震データの不完全性に対応した地震活動およびそれに伴う揺れの準リアルタイム時空間予測に関する研究開発」等において、下記業務を行う。

  1. 地震カタログや地震動データを用いた大地震直後の地震活動およびそれに伴う揺れの時空間予測に関する研究開発
  2. 情報科学を活用した地震動予測に関する研究開発
  3. その他関連する研究開発
応募資格
  1. 博士の学位を有すること（着任までに取得見込みを含む）またはこれと同等以上の学識経験を有するものであって、上記研究開発業務に従事するに十分な研究能力を有すること。
  2. 地震データを用いた研究、あるいは地球科学等に関する大量データを対象とした統計解析研究に関する経験を有すること。
  3.  地震津波防災につながる研究に高い関心があること。

雇用期間・勤務時間

令和4年4月1日から令和5年3月31日まで　※要相談
ただし、予算状況、従事している業務の必要性及び勤務成績により、１事業年度毎に更新する。

給与等

当所規程により決定(年俸制)
月額504,700円以上　固定残業代(60,060円以上、15時間相当分)を含む。
15時間超過分は別途支給

One (1) contract researcher (Researcher status) in Network Center for Earthquake, Tsunami and Volcano, NIED

Duties

As a member of “Research and development for semi-real-time spatio-temporal forecasting of seismic activity and associated ground motion considering incompleteness of seismic data” and “Advanced Earthquake and Tsunami Forecasting Technologies Project”, the following duties should be conducted.

  1. Research and development on spatio-temporal prediction of seismic activity and associated ground motions immediately after a large earthquake using earthquake catalog and ground-motion data.
  2. Research and development on ground-motion prediction using information science.
  3. Research and development related to the above.
Qualification Requirements
  1. Applicants must hold a Ph. D. (including those who will obtain a Ph. D. before commencing the position) or have the equivalent level of academic knowledge and enough experience to conduct the research duties described above.
  2. Applicants are required to have experience in research using seismic data or statistical research on massive data related to earth science and other fields.
  3. Applicants are required to be strongly motivated in research and development contributing to earthquake and tsunami disaster mitigation.

Term of Employment

The successful candidate will be employed from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023. (*negotiable)
The term of employment may be extended each fiscal year, based on budget, needs of work engaged in, and in line with performance.
*The period of first two months is probationary.

Salary and Working Conditions

Salary: More than 504,700 yen per month.
*To be determined at the time of employment based on internal regulations (annual salary system).
*Including fixed overtime allowance: 15 hours equivalent.
In the case of 504,700 yen per month, the fixed overtime allowance is 60,060 yen
*The overtime allowance beyond 15 hours per month will be paid separately.
