Memorandum of Cooperation with Seismic Research and Test Center (SESTEC), Pusan National University (PNU), Republic of Korea
On the 28th May, 2024, the Earthquake Disaster Mitigation Research Division of NIED visited SESTEC to renew the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) in the field of earthquake engineering. The two institutes already have had active collaborations even before the first MOC was concluded in 2019.
On this occasion, the two sides had a series of discussions on potential cooperation, especially on the utilization of shaking tables owned by each institute, and data and model sharing,
International Technical Seminar on Earthquake Safety Industry was also held on the 29th May at the PNU Pusan Campus. Four researchers from both institutes presented on the topics below.
